Toby's Color Change
TOBY'S TRANSITION Sable means 'brown' normally but in Havanese Speak it means 'change'. Toby looked like a little St. Bernard, tri-color when he was a puppy. As an adult he had little of the color he began with. He now has only a little black in his ears, tail and around his mouth. A darker cream saddle is on his back, sometimes. 'Change' does not necessarily mean white or any other color we can predict. |

We went to Germany where we found beautiful 'clear red' Havanese. 'Clear red' means the color does not have black or other colors in the coat. The color of a red Havanese can vary from a light peachy color to a dark mahogany color and by definition can be only a small patch of red. It is common for the pups to darken or lighten with age.
Ruby & Bailey both came from Germany together the one labeled Lola is Ruby and the one labeled Lea is Bailey. Bailey Changes |
